MG's journey began with a small but powerful dream by Late Mr. Mohan V. Kamat and supported by Mrs. Sudha Mohan Kamat — the co-founders and pioneers of the MG Group. A dream shaped with focus, intention, and unwavering resolve.

Following the passing of Mr. Mohan V. Kamat, the Group continues to be guided by his vision under the leadership of his son, Mr. Anil Mohan Kamat, who was appointed Chairman and Managing Director in 2016. Today, MG Group stands as a testament to the values, integrity, and foresight of its founders.

MG Group's journey began with the establishment of MGM Motors in Mumbai & Nashik, transporting jeeps and tractors for Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
Leather & Trim set up in Mumbai — a proprietary manufacturing unit focused on seat production for utility vehicles.
MG Automotives Pvt. Ltd. established near Mahindra's vehicle plant in Zaheerabad, Telangana.
Large-scale facility set up in Belgaum under Alma Motors Pvt. Ltd., later renamed MG Automotives (Bus & Coach) Pvt. Ltd. in 2016.
Columbus unveiled at Busworld India — a fully monocoque, ultra-low-floor tarmac coach for airport ground handling. 100,000th bus delivered.
